Evertz Hydrotechnik was commissioned to develop a concept for optimizing the BDM descaling of voestalpine Rail Technology and, based on this, to redesign the scale washing system.
Currently, three different billet formats were descaled, whereby the spray plates belonging to each format had to be replaced by hand, which was very time-consuming and costly.
We also wanted to improve descaling performance and minimize energy losses.
We succeeded in this!

Thanks to the automatic adjustment of the lateral guide, each billet format is guided through the center of the scale washer and can thus be descaled evenly from all sides. - Individual spraying
Thanks to the automatic adjustment of the spray arms (side and top), each billet format can now be descaled with optimum effect – without time-consuming spray plate changes. - Optimized nozzle selection
Automatic spray arm adjustment enables uncompromising nozzle selection of the latest generation with lower liter output and significantly improved effect.
